Privacy Policy of Aurora

Personal data

Your privacy is important. Aurora never asks for personal data like a real name, mail address, or phone number so nothing like that is ever saved.

For Backup functionality Android version of Aurora needs to know your Google Account email to access Google Drive. Aurora always requests Permission to access your Drive if it`s not granted.

Plans, operations, and other user data

Aurora saves Plans, Operations, and Categories in a database. The main application database is stored only locally on your device and is not transmitted outside, except if you use the backup function.

In the case of Android:

  • Aurora saves the database to the internal storage file directory. Android system prevents other apps from accessing this location. Only Aurora itself can access it.
  • When Backup is enabled, a copy of the database is uploading to the application data folder of Google Drive storage. This folder is only accessible by Aurora and its contents are hidden from the user and from other Drive apps.

Remember that no method of electronic storage or method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure and reliable, and Aurora cannot guarantee its absolute security.
